Using a limited color palette and a step by step method, students

Oils-Still life with Silver and Glass (8420)
Join Atlanta area artist, Amanda Carder, for a still life
workshop focusing on the treatment of glass and silver pieces. Students will
learn how to organize art equipment, paint with a limited palette, select
good composition, identify light, dark and arrange in masses. Supply list at

Aiken Youth Orchestras (6285)
Open to area youth, these orchestras provide students who have at
least one year of music training on their instrument with a quality
orchestra experience (Dr. Laura Tomlin). Season concludes with the Winter
Concert, Nov. 30, at the Arts Center. New this fall: both orchestras will
include strings, winds, and percussion instruments.
Placement auditions will be held at the Arts Center on Saturday, August 28
